300 yards up the road from Godremamog Mill is Park Villa, a self contained cottage which sleeps 8. It has its own hot tub in one of its 3 gardens and you can bring your dog on holiday with you to Park Villa. Park Villa was fully refurbished at the start of 2014 and is graded by 4 star by Visit Wales. The Villa has 4 double bedrooms (one twin and 3 which can be either twin OR superking) a large bathroom with a walk in shower and separate bath, a downstairs cloakroom, a well equipped kitchen leading into the dining room, a sitting room and a sitting area upstairs. The Villa has central heating and WIFI. |

Outside, there are 3 gardens - a paved garden immediately outside the Villa with a picnic table and hot tub and plenty of seats, a lower garden with a BBQ area and a lawn and an upper garden which is being landscaped and will be terraced. These gardens have been gated and fenced, to keep dogs safe. The gardens are very sunny, being South facing. There is a bench under the porch which is sheltered but sits in full sun most of the day - perfect for a relaxing cup of tea. Across the road, directly opposite Park Villa, there is a fenced parking area for 2 cars. The Villa is on a steep hill but the parking area is level. People who have problems walking across a slope can be dropped off at the gate to the Villa. The track to Godremamog Mill starts from the Parking area and leads down between woods and a meadow to the mill gardens where you can picnic right next to the river - you can be there in 5 minutes. There are lots of other walks in the valley, including Godremamog Mill's woodland trail, which takes you up among the trees, with places to sit and to explore. The Villa's gardens look out over the valley with meadows and woodland and a quiet single track road. You can see 2 counties (Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire). The road leads down to a stone bridge (Pont Wedwest) across the river Cych - a shallow mountain stream which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest because of the salmon which migrate there each year. You can only see 2 houses from the Villa; there's a chapel just up the hill, now in private ownership, with a quiet country graveyard and, across the meadow, over the river and up the other side of the valley, there's Clwb - a cottage with a boarding kennel which is the "Best Boarding Kennel in Pembrokeshire". Please note - you do have neighbours at Park Villa so loud parties in the garden are not appropriate. You do hear the dogs from time to time but they are 1/4 mile away and you don't hear them inside the Villa. |
