daughters on
17th August
2013 for a
week. Our
first
impressions
of the Mill
and
surrounding
area on
arrival left
us
speechless...truly
amazing! So
incredibly
beautiful
and
peaceful.
The
accommodation
was
absolutely
brilliant -
clean and
airy and far
superior to
anywhere
we've stayed
in before -
with
everything
we could
have asked
for...there
was even
tea, coffee,
milk;
together
with some
wonderful
local
produce such
as eggs,
bread, jam
and apple
juice
waiting for
us in the
kitchen when
we arrived.
The owners, Chris and Samantha have got it absolutely right - they clearly love the Mill and are rightly proud of everything they have done to make it a welcoming and peaceful haven. They both made us all feel so very welcome and were on hand to answer any questions we had about the area and days out that would entertain the girls. We visited several beaches whilst we were there, as well as Oakwood theme park and Devils Bridge waterfalls - all within good travelling distance; but quite honestly, we were equally happy just to chill out and relax at the Mill with a good book, or unwind in the hot-tub after a busy day - just perfect! I cannot recommend Godremamog Mill and its hosts highly enough - thank you for a wonderful week. Angela, Georgia, Janet and Hannah. |

“Beautiful location, lovely accommodation, delightful owners” My husband, two children (5 and 4 years old) and myself have just returned from a wonderful week at Godremamog Watermill. The Mill and surrounding gardens/river most definitely have the 'wow' factor as it is set in a very tranquil, beautiful, rural location. The accommodation itself (one of four apartments) is very spacious, very clean and equipped with everything you could possibly need for self-catering ie fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher, plenty of storage space in the bedrooms, a living room with a TV, DVD player and video. An extensive library containing films and books is available for you to borrow as you wish. There is also a communal launderette which is free of charge - a real bonus when you have children. The owners Sam and Chris who live at the Mill gave us a lovely warm welcome and showed us our accommodation together with a welcome hamper packed with high quality local produce - a lovely extra touch. Chris and Sam were also very helpful in giving us tips on places to visit and were all round lovely people! There was a comprehensive and up-to-date folder in our accommodation detailing local attractions, including walks around the Watermill. Sam and Chris really had thought of everything that you need to make your stay a delight and completely stress-free. We were so impressed that we have booked to come back next year already...Thank you Chris and Sam for a perfect week. “Amazing place away from the rest of the world” This was the 5th time we have been to Godremamog over a 30 year span it never fails to amaze a real retreat great for children to actually play in stream and woods without any worries the mill itself is great with hot tub, everlasting swimming pool and bbq house. “Great family mini-break with something for everyone...” Great family hideaway holiday location within the heart of the countryside. Beautiful setting and great attention to detail on the part of Samantha and Chris to meet every potential need of their holiday-makers. Equipped with jacuzzi, swimming pool, BBQ hut, games room, terraced gardens with various seating areas, and walks directly from the site itself, Godremamog Mill was ideal for our young family as well as accompanying Granny! Beach locations within easy access, plus other activities such as cycling, nature trails, castles all close by. “We had an amazing time and Godremamog Mill is a very special place!” A totally beautiful place to stay - wonderful accommodation and perfect hosts! We have stayed here for the last 13 years and we will come back again. Sam and Chris have made this the most wonderful place to stay with hot tubs and swimming pools but most of all it has everything we need for a great get away. Aberporth and Pen Bryn beaches, Newcastle Emlyn, woollen mills, Pembrokeshire etc etc - it is just Wales at its best “Fantastic once again!” A beautiful, relaxing place to stay to re-charge your batteries. Warm and welcoming hosts, who can't do enough for you. Hot-tub and swim spa were brilliant. Apartment had everything we needed including the litttle things like washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets and tea towels. The welcome hamper of local food is a lovely, thoughtful addition “If you want the WOW factor then look no further than the Mill” I booked here for a birthday surprise for my girlfriend and the look on her face when she saw the Mill was priceless. The location was in a beautiful setting and a good base to visit anywhere along the West coast. The owners were very helpful offering lots of advice about where to visit and where to go and eat. The accommodation was lovely and well equipped for our needs, the only downside was that the mattress was not the comfiest. The hot tub was out of this world and when you are outside looking up at the stars you couldn't ask for more. We used the indoor bbq on our last night and shared a romantic glass of wine around the fire. I highly recommend this accommodation and we will return - a weekend was just not long enough!
